Doggy Home School

Do you want a better trained dog but simply don’t have the time for classes and homework with your busy schedule? Let me do the training for you! I will come to your home and train your dog 3 days a week even while you are away at work. Each week of training includes a session at the end of the week for me to teach you and your family what I taught your dog that week so that you can maintain the behavior. 

Here’s how it works:

· We get to know each other: I come to your home to meet you and evaluate your dog’s behavior. Together we will determine your training priorities and then design a custom training program to meet your needs. This session will last about an hour and costs $60. If you sign up for training this is included in the program price. 

· Written Agreement: We will have a written agreement of training plans and goals so everyone knows what to expect.

· I train your dog:  I will come to your home 3 days each week for one hour and work with your dog. You are welcome to watch if you are home but I won’t involve you much during this time. You may even be at work during these sessions.

· I train you: One day towards the end of each week I will meet with you and your family to do a lesson for you. I will train you how to maintain and build on the things I have taught during the week.

2-WEEK PROBLEM SOLVING SCHOOL: 

Does your otherwise well behaved dog have just one problem that you need help with like pulling on the leash, jumping on visitors or not coming when you call them?

Skills taught:

· Individualized training to help you solve that one problem with perhaps some practice of other obedience skills.

Program includes:

· 2-weeks of training in your home

· 3 Approximately 60-minute sessions each week where I train your dog. 

· 1 session each week to teach you how to maintain the behavior I have taught.

Best suited for:

· Dogs that have had some training but whose owners can’t solve a particular problem like pulling on the leash.

· Trained dogs whose owners want to teach a new skill or just need a refresher course.

Fee: $595

3-WEEK HOME SCHOOL FUNDAMENTALS:

This program will get you off to a great start with basic manners and obedience.

Skills taught:

· Basic commands like sit, down, come and drop it.

· Polite greetings including not jumping on people.

· Leave it.

· Wait. For the dog to wait at the door until released.

· Either beginning polite leash manners or stay/place behaviors.

Program includes:

· 3-weeks of training in your home

· 3 Approximately 60-minute sessions each week where I train your dog. 

· 1 session each week to teach you how to maintain the behavior I have taught.

· 1 session approximately one month after training is complete to evaluate how things are going.

Best suited for:

· People who have trained a dog before or relatively mellow dogs.

Fee: $895

4-WEEK HOME SCHOOL ADVANCED:

This program teaches basic and intermediate level manners and obedience

Skills taught:

· Basic commands like sit, down, come and drop it.

· Polite greetings including not jumping on people.

· Leave it.

· Wait. For the dog to wait at the door until released.

· Polite leash manners.

· Stay/Place. Your dog will learn to go to a mat and stay there until released.

Program includes:

· 4-weeks of training in your home

· 3 Approximately 60-minute sessions each week where I train your dog. 

· 1 session each week to teach you how to maintain the behavior I have taught.

· 1 session approximately one month after training is complete to evaluate how things are going.

Best suited for:

· Busy families or professionals whose training time is limited.

· Anyone who wants a wonderfully behaved dog.
